OPH Pre-Emergent™16-0-8 part of our annual cool season turf care program. Organic Plant Health recommends a split application when it comes to broadleaf and grassy weed pre-emergent control.  This will provide a longer period of weed suppression and fertility for the lawn, while also providing additional organic matter for soil health.

OPH Pre-Emergent™ 16-0-8 fertilizer controls some of the most populous grassy weeds including Crabgrass, Poa annua and Goosegrass as well as broadleaf weeds like Prostrate spurge, common Purslane, Knotweed and Chickweed.

For control of those and other weeds that have already germinated, it is best to apply an POST-emergent herbicide control weed populations in your landscape.  Ask OPH or your local garden center for a recommendation.
