“Dear OPH, I will try and keep this short considering you probably get a tremendous amount of emails. I was raised in the country in Star, Mississippi. We had a rather large farm, and did the typical yard & animal work – as impetuous youth normally is, I couldn’t wait to get away, go to college and start a career. After college, I moved here to Charlotte for 10 yrs, then to NY for 10 yrs, and now I am back in Charlotte with a house in Plaza Midwood. To the point – I never thought I’d take an interest in any type of gardening again, since in my youth it was a “chore”. I started listening to your show about 6 months ago, and am proud to say I am landscaping with indigenous plants, composting, and I have several raised vegetable and flower gardens. I just wanted to THANK YOU for inspiring me to do this, it’s brought a tremendous amount of joy into my life, and finally helped me realize why my dad enjoyed a “chore” so much.”
